Betty L. Deeley 92, of Blossvale, NY passed away at her home on December 29, He passed away July 28, Betty worked for 45 years as a medical secretary first in Rome, NY for Dr. Mac Millen, then Dr. Dake and later, Dr. Sharma in Camden, NY, she retired in Betty was a member of the McConnellsville Golf Club sinceelected as its first female president in and was named Honorary Lifetime Member in She was active in and organizer of the Ladies 18 Hole Golf Association. She also served two terms as Association Vice President was a former executive committee member and former secretary.
Betty was honored and recognized in for her 25 years of service and leadership by the NYS Golf Association and in was inducted into its Hall of Fame. She was also a former director of the Vienna Cemetery Association.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a half-brother, Charles Ransier and a grandson, Douglas Deeley. Interment McConnellsville Cemetery. Matthew D. My heart sank when I heard of Betty's passing. I know she will be missed greatly by family and friends everywhere. I first met her years ago at a NYS golf event, and always looked forward to her heartfelt greetings.
